1. Structural Safety and Stability (Top Priority!):
· Frame Structure: Aluminum alloy frames are preferred, as they are lighter, more corrosion-resistant, and sufficiently strong than steel. Check the strength of the connecting parts.
· Wind Resistance and Drainage Design: The tent should have a well-formed, streamlined design to reduce wind resistance and be equipped with sufficient wind ropes, ground pegs, and load-bearing bags. The roof should have a clear drainage slope to prevent water accumulation.
· Fire Standards: The fire rating of the tent fabric (e.g., B1 flame retardant) is the bottom line for safety at large events and must comply with local fire regulations.
2. Space and Functionality:
· Dimensions and Clear Height: Consider not only the floor space, but also the center height and side height. Tall spaces feel less oppressive and facilitate air circulation.
· Modularity and Flexibility: Can multiple tents be combined to create a larger space using side walls and connectors? This greatly increases layout flexibility. · Entrances and Passageways: Wide roller shutters or double doors facilitate the entry and exit of personnel and equipment. Can the side walls be fully or partially opened to achieve an open design?
3. Tarpaulin Material and Performance:
· Material: The mainstream is PVC-coated fabric, which offers advantages such as strong waterproofness, durability, tear resistance, and long life. Oxford fabric is lighter, but its long-term durability is generally not as good as PVC.
· Waterproof Rating: A minimum HH of 1500mm - 2000mm is required to ensure adequate protection against moderate to heavy rain.
· Shading and Insulation: A double-layer roof or lining provides effective insulation. If full shading is required (e.g., for performances or cinemas), a specific fabric should be selected.
4. Accessories and Equipment:
· Side Walls: Are the side walls equipped with transparent windows? Are insulated side walls required?
· Flooring: For grassy or uneven surfaces, renting a dedicated platform or flooring can greatly enhance the quality and comfort of your event. Lighting and wiring: Does the tent come pre-installed with hanging points and cable management? This can save a lot of setup time and ensure electrical safety.
